Dr. Sơn “Searn” Nguyen grew up in Orlando, Florida. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida. In 2001, he was awarded the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Howard University in Washington, D.C. As part of the commitment to providing the highest standard of care to patients, he attended many postgraduate programs and seminars in all phases of dentistry to learn the latest techniques and technologies. He became proficient and knowledgeable in many areas of dentistry, such as Implant Dentistry, Full Mouth Reconstruction, and Endodontics.

Dr. Sơn Nguyen completed training in TMJ management and Full Mouth Reconstruction with Dr. Dawson, Dr. DuPont, and Dr. Cranham at the prestigious Dawson Academy in Florida, one of the best training programs for cosmetic dentistry in the U.S. He is also training with the Pikos Institute, Surgical Excellence in Dental Implants. He is an alumnus of The Dawson Academy, founded by Dr. Pete Dawson. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), International Dental Implant Association, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He also completed many endodontic programs, including with Dr. John West at the Center of Endodontics in Tacoma, Washington.

Dr. Sơn Nguyen enjoys spending time with family and friends. He loves outdoor adventure. He is an avid fisherman who greatly enjoys fishing the rivers and streams of Washington State, as well as fishing the deep-sea waters of the Florida Coast.

Dr. Michellien Nguyen (a.k.a. Dr. Lynn) grew up in Tampa Bay, Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Math Education from the University of Central Florida, and she earned the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Together with her husband, Dr. Son, she also attended many postgraduate programs and seminars to provide the full scope of dental care for the entire family. She has completed countless hours of postgraduate education, particularly in orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Lynn strives to provide a positive dental experience for her patients through gentle and personalized care. She incorporates mindful breathing to relax patients. She is passionate about helping patients achieve beautiful and healthy smiles. She is a member of the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO).

Drs. Nguyen has two Children, Lienan and Michael. Lienan is following her parents’ footsteps; she is in her first year of dental school. Dr. Lynn enjoys spending time with her family, friends, two cats -Tabby and Cutie, and four dogs – Muffy, Nina, Hunter, and Leo. She enjoys walking the dogs, practicing yoga, and traveling. The whole family has been in Seattle since 2002 and has served the Puget Sound area for more than 24 years. They love the Evergreen State and are fans of the Seattle Seahawks!

Known for a compassionate and gentle approach, Dr. Steven prioritizes patient comfort and strives to create a welcoming, stress-free environment for every visit. He is also committed to giving back to the community, volunteering at events such as the Seattle King County Clinic to help expand access to dental care. Outside of the office, Dr. Steven enjoys spending time with his wife and their cat, exploring new restaurants, and cheering on Seattle’s sports teams.
